Races

The Veil Races

Race changes your stats permanently-ish — until you reroll it at the Stylist. All effects gameplay-verified from release-day footage.

There are 10 playable races plus one unobtainable secret race. Every race changes your stats — damage multipliers, resistance, speed, luck or summon power — and one legendary race rewrites your weave stacking entirely. Exact in-game spellings for a few race names are still being confirmed in release week; note which entries are verified versus community-documented.

Note on naming & rarity conflicts

Launch-week sources disagree on two points and we show both instead of picking one: the legendary race is called Veilborne in one verified guide and Whaleborn on a specialist wiki; the stone-heavy tank race appears as both Obelite and Obolite. Exact rarity tiers for several races (Wraith, Mushling, Skeleton, Hiveling, Gemhead, Underling, Obelite) are still unconfirmed — the table lists gameplay-verified effects and community-assigned rarity. No values are guessed; labels are added as they are verified.

How to reroll your race

  • Race is not permanent — the developers confirmed it directly. Visit the Stylist NPC in spawn town (up the ladders, upper path) to open the reroll screen.
  • Rerolls arrive from daily rewards and codes (RELEASE granted 6, VERITYBOMB 3).
  • Rerolls can also be bought with Robux in-game — one of the game's monetization points — so exhaust free sources first.
  • Rerolling never resets your progress.

Pairing races with classes

Races pair with classes: Underling and Goblin serve casters, Gemhead is the dedicated summoner pick, Obelite is the tank option if you can live with the speed penalty. For ranked picks see the race tier list, and for what each class does see the classes hub.

Roll odds have not been published by the developers. One unobtainable race (Purgatorian) is reserved for community events — treat any “how to unlock Purgatorian” guide as unverified.
