The Veil Enchant & Gems Guide

Gems at the blacksmith, tomes at the enchanter, and the whole gem color chart — the gear-shaping loop.

Quick answer: enchanting costs 100 silver per roll at the blacksmith (price set by a launch patch). Gem rolling happens at Starry; gems come in colors — Topaz, Ruby, Emerald and Sapphire — that shape the roll. Tomes are handled by the spawn-area enchanter, and blacksmith tasks round out the loop.

How the loop works

  1. Bring your weapon/gear to the blacksmith — 100 silver per enchant roll.
  2. Roll gems at Starry — the gem color chart (Topaz, Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire) determines which affixes are in play.
  3. Use tomes at the spawn-area enchanter for the tome side of the system.
  4. Complete blacksmith tasks where available to progress equipment lines.

Gems & colors

  • Gem colors verified in-game: Topaz, Ruby, Emerald and Sapphire — each tied to a school of affixes (exact per-color tables are still community-verifying).
  • Gems roll at Starry (named NPC), not the main blacksmith station.
  • Enchant price history: set to 100 silver by the Sep 6 patch — older guides quoting other prices are outdated.

Pairing with the rest of your build

Enchants live on top of the weapon ability system (passive/active/cast) and the race stat bonuses. The community rule from release week: judge any enchant by how it stacks with your two or three core abilities — a good Rare enchant on the right weapon beats a mediocre one on a “better” color.

Per-color affix tables are not published by the developer; values are community-verifying and will be added as confirmed. Re-check after the next content update.
